The Illustration Friday word this week is "Total". Well... every time I think of total, I think of the final result, complete, or entire... Which led me to think of numbers and sums, the addition of, reaching the final answer... The total sum of the number is~ my illustration for this week....
WOOHOO! I'm running on schedule in submitting to Illustration Friday for a change! Wired... when I think of the word, it made me think of myself... in the morning.... after several cups of coffee to get me moving and motivated... Kind of how I feel as well at night... trying to fall into that elusive concept~ sleep...............
Geesh! Running late, again... I had good intentions.... Had trouble with the freaking face... Maybe with enough practice... One day it will come easier to me... *sigh... Hey... I can dream can't I?.... Gravity... I decided that I could best illustrate it by having a boy jumping, holding on to a parachute... It just made me think of a story that my husband told me from when he was a boy...
Well doggone it! I missed last week's entry for Illustration Friday.... *Sigh..... Okay.. onward and upward it is... Sprout.. Hmmm, for some reason, all I could picture, was a tall, skinny kid... A kid who shot up in height, or ... sprouted if you will, faster than what the rest of their body did.. So anyway, this is my interpretation of the word "sprout".
Crap! I didn't get this done in time for Illustration Friday... Oh well, I still enjoyed creating this drawing... I believe that there is a super hero inside us all.... and that it never hurts to dream...
Illustration Friday's word for this week is 80's... Wow, how best to illustrate that? The 80's... a decade of fun, big... Great bands, big hair, heavy make-up and the cube... Who can forget Rubik's Cube?
I came across the Illustration Friday website... Wow! I just had to give this a try... This is my first illustration attempt... Hopefully, it won't be my last...
It is because of my never ending quest of exploring new avenues, of continually challenging myself in my art that has led me here. Merely another outlet to express my creativity...
I'm 52.. married 21 years to a very supportive guy.. I have 3 kids, a son 20 and a bass player, rocker in a band, a daughter 16 and another daughter 14. They do keep me busy..
I graduated with a BFA in 2004.. It gave me the confidence to say: I AM AN ARTIST! and mighty proud of it may I add..
If you look around my blog, please, leave me a comment. I always enjoy reading what other people leave me, good or bad... and I always try to answer back in some way.................
