Twist

Wow! Where is the time going? Here we are, another week, another new word from Illustration Friday.. Twist... Ummm, the Peppermint Twist? How about Chubby Checker?... "Come on baby, let's do the twist"... Oh no, I fear I'm showing my age.. Oh well, I had fun with this illustration though and I hope you enjoy it..

Oh Karin! This sure takes me back too! Hell, how old were we in 61' ? I think I wasn't quite 4 when the Peppermint Twist came out. I remember, my brother wore the GROOVES out of the damn record playing it over and over! You have captured a moment!

Right on with the twisting girl, Karin! She's a really cute character that made me smile. I"m glad always interested in seeing the props too. It tells what time in history these drawings were made... for when someone discovers your drawings years from now and says, "Oh!look! This must have been drawn back in the days of the "boom box" radio! Glad to see you are having such fun and entertaining me too! Bonny

Well -- I'm not going to comment on the 'age' thing.......but, I do remember the twist ----- and the swim ---- and the pony --- and the jerk ---- and the hustle.
Ooh! -- we need to spend a night out dancing some time, eh? Love the drawing, Karin. Joysong
